Spiritual Disciplines 2011

As we begin 2011, I am mindful of what challenge I will undertake for the new year in the area of Spiritual Disciplines especially as it has to do with reading and memorizing God’s Word. Here are some great resources and challenges for you this year as you start of 2011 in God’s Word.

YOU Version

This is a web based devotional/Bible study tool that is excellent. There are many different translations, ESV is my preferred translation. There are also a number of options for reading plans. We have many people who use the chronological plan and it is excellent.

You will need to sign up and create an account, but it is free!

You can download the app for many different phones, and it is free!

Chronological Bible (NIV)

http://www.amazon.com/One-Year-Chronological-Bible-NIV/dp/1414314094

This is a great devotional Bible and resource tool to see and learn the Bible chronologically. When I do the (NIV) chronological, I use the SOAP acrostic for my reading and journaling. You can purchase these Bibles at the SOURCE Table at the back of the Sanctuary.
